Salamanca-Retiro neighborhood, Madrid
Architect: Ana Hidalgo

Year: 2019

Surface: 230 m2

The distribution of the apartment was ancient, kind of the Salamanca’s neighborhood , with a large dark corridor which ended in a facilities zone that included a kitchen. A comprehensive reform is done, creating a more updated distribution which allows greater flexibility of the space through its sliding doors. Thus, more open spaces are achieved with much more light and even the possibility to divide the living space in two apartments.

The house is entirely equipped with a domotic system; automatic illumination, sound, cinema, climate control, blinds and security. The climate control is by underfloor heating and cooling.

Currently, the apartment has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a  living/dinning room with two zones that lead to a nice terrace and to a kitchen open to the living room.
